Research is diversified across four divisions of our organization, both nationally and internationally with projects that convene experts across disciplines.

One example is our Hungary-Japan joint volcano observation project between the University of Tokyo and the Wigner Research Centre for Physics of the Hungarian Academy of Science. Supported by the Integrated Program for the Next Generation Volcano Research and Human Resource Developments of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, our progress relies on a worldwide network of particle physics and volcanology researchers. Additionally, we maintain a EU-Japan cross-sectoral research framework strengthened by multinational conglomerate companies in order to explore a myriad of new intellectual frontiers and attack important societal problems. Our research capabilities for this EU- Japan framework are further enhanced and will continue to grow through the RISE network of the Horizon 2020 Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions.
